LEARN DATA SCIENCE ON REAL-LIFE PROBLEMS.
BaseCamp is an immersive full-time 8-week program for prospective Data Scientists.
During 8 weeks you will deepen your theoretical knowledge, enhance your practical skills and become
a qualified Data Scientist ready for your exciting data science career.
8 weeks split into lectures, workshops, and work on a project. Our program is timed and shaped perfectly so that you can learn how to solve real-world Data Science problems.
The next edition of BaseCamp will take place from 5th of March till 27th of April 2018 in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava.
Our training program takes place in Bratislava, Slovakia. Located right on the border with Hungary and Austria, Slovakia is quickly becoming a trending holiday location but also a magnet for Eastern European startup culture. Participants will spend 8 weeks in a city where past meets present, wine meets food and culture meets nightlife. Bratislava is also an ideal spot from which to explore Europe.
From all participants we require advanced English skills (at least C1 level) and good abstract thinking. Technical skills and formal education will be considered but are not mandatory. However, we want all the students to be on the same entry level, so we reserve the right to send out some materials to go through before the bootcamp. The ability to legally reside in Austria during the program is necessary.
The cost of BaseCamp is 5,000 Euro paid in two installments, with the first one being due two weeks after acceptance.
We accept 8 to 10 people per batch. The selection is based on the quality of your application, remote interviews and interest on the side of our partners.
Applications for our SPRING 2018 edition are open from 20th of October 2017 till 14th of January 2018.
You can apply for the bootcamp at any point during this period. We do however, advice you to apply as soon as possible since spots are limited and the screening process takes some time.
To apply hit the APPLY NOW button in Apply section of this page. You will be either redirected to the application page or (in case there are currently no applications open) you will be able sign up for our newsletter in which we will inform you about upcoming cohorts.
Applications will open on the 20th of October 2017 and will close on the 14th of January 2018. We do, however, advice our applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible. The evaluation process includes a video interview and arrangements for the space in which the bootcamp will be held must be made.
After the application deadline, all applications will be reviewed and evaluated by our mentors. Remote interviews will be held with shortlisted candidates and final selection will be made based on these interviews. All applicants will be notified about the results of each stage of the selection process.
The training program takes place in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is a full-time on-site program. Unfortunaltey we can't allow remote participation. We are recently working on launching another edition of BaseCamp that will take place in different locations all over the world. You can stay updated on these editions by following us on Facebook or by subscribing to our newsletter.
The only prerequisits are advanced English (at least C1 level) and good abstract thinking. However, we want all students to be on the same level initially, so we reserve the right to send the participant some materials to go through before the beginning of the bootcamp. There are no other requirements regarding age, skills or formal education. The participant must be eligible to study and live in EU countries.
Due to focus on quality and personal attention we limit number of people to 8-10 per batch.
The price of the program is 5000 Euro, with first half due two weeks after acceptance to the program. This is to secure the spot in the bootcamp, since we have a waiting list of other applicants. The second half of the fee is due after the first two weeks of the program. The price of the program does not include food or accomodation, it only cover the costs for mentors, space and material.
